Presentation of the 2022 campaign

The peach producing cooperatives of the PGI Melocotón de Cieza have presented both the start of their campaigns and the labelling of their varieties with the PGI seal.

The various presentations at the cooperatives’ facilities were attended by the Cieza Town Councillor for Agriculture, Antonio Moya, the Murcia MEP Marcos Ros, and the President of the PGI Cieza Peach Regulatory Body, Manuel Ruiz. In the case of the Thader Cieza cooperative, it was also visited by the Regional Minister for Agriculture of the Region of Murcia, Antonio Luengo, and the Mayor of Cieza Town Council, Pascual Lucas.

In the different work centres, the companies have shown their work system with which they pack the PGI peaches so that they conserve all their organoleptic characteristics until they reach the consumer. Through their rigorous criteria and quality controls, they guarantee the best fruit and the best flavour in all their shipments.
