January 24, 2022The PGI will be present at the National Stone Fruit Congress
The PGI Cieza Peach will be present at the second edition of the National Stone Fruit Congress which will take place in the Victor Villegas Auditorium in Murcia on the 25th and 26th of November.
On Friday 26th, the president of the Cieza Peach PGI Regulatory Council will give an online presentation in which he will explain what this declaration with the quality seal means from the farmer’s point of view.
In this way, our star product will take centre stage in this edition of the event which has established itself as the benchmark in the stone fruit sector, bringing together hundreds of professionals and more than 30 experts who will present the main innovations in plant health and post-harvest; fertigation and precision agriculture; varietal innovation and marketing.
The Congress, in hybrid format, will hold a morning session in the Auditorio Víctor Villegas in Murcia with technical presentations from 9 to 14 hours and a coffee break networking among all attendees.
On Friday 26 November, the technical presentations will continue entirely online. It will take place through the audiovisual content and agricultural training platform Agromunity (www.agromunity.com), leader in the Spanish-speaking world with more than 10,000 registered professionals from Spain and Latin America.
National reference
The Congress, in which IMIDA chairs the Scientific Committee, has the collaboration of the Polytechnic University of Cartagena, CEBAS-CSIC, Miguel Hernández University of Elche, Polytechnic University of Madrid, Apoexpa, UPA, Cajamar Experimental Station ‘Las Palmerillas’ and the CIeza Peach PGI Regulatory Council.
It also has the participation and sponsorship of leading companies in the sector such as Sani Fruit, Daymsa, Brandt, Bioiberica, PSB, Cot International, Widhoc, Agrobank, Codiagro, Biogard, Agrofresh, Symborg, BMS, Certis, Edalife, Anecoop, Plantae-Prosercam, Sipcam and Puerto de Cartagena, as well as the magazine Fruticultura as a media partner of the event.
Producers, industry, technicians, researchers and government officials are the main target audience of this Congress which, after its last edition in 2019 with more than 800 registered professionals, has become the most important stone fruit event in Spain.
