“Product of the Year” at La Verdad’s agri-food awards

The Cieza Peach PGI has been awarded in the 5th “La Verdad” Agri-Food Awards of the Region of Murcia, in the “Product of the Year” section.

These awards recognise the work of the regional agri-food sector in different areas such as research, sustainability and export. The representatives of the Ciez agricultural sector, together with the mayor and councillor for Agriculture of the municipality, were in charge of collecting the award at the gala held this Thursday night, organised by the newspaper La Verdad.

The Mayor, Pascual Lucas, and the Councillor for Agriculture, Antonio Moya, accompanied the ciezano farmers at the award ceremony which was held at the Rincón Huertano.
